Dog Walking

At H for Hounds I understand that people lead increasingly busy lives which can make it difficult to give your dog the exercise and stimulation essential to its well-being.

I offer walks throughout the day Monday-Friday (weekend walks may be available by prior arrangement).  In the first instance I will arrange a suitable time to visit you and meet your dog(s).  This introductory visit is free of charge and will give me the opportunity to get to know you and your canine companion, it will also give you the time to ask questions you may have and
discuss any specific requirements.

Dogs are walked in small sociable groups, the maximum number of dogs I will take out at any one time is 4. This allows me to give each dog the individual attention it deserves.  I will endeavour to match your dog(s) with others that suit its personality to maximise their enjoyment of the walk. H for Hounds walks take place in a variety of safe areas to keep your dog interested and stimulated.  Dogs will be walked where appropriate off the lead with the express permission of their owner.

Each dog will receive one hours exercise (this does not include any travel time) and will be transported in a purpose equipped
vehicle.

I carry a first aid kit and water on every walk as well as the usual treats and poo bags!.

Each dog will wear a ‘H for Hounds’ ID tag when under my care.

In poor weather I will towel each dog down before dropping them home and will refresh their water bowl.

I will provide you with regular updates and photos of your dogs walks so you can relax knowing they are having a great time with their chums.

A tired dog is a happy dog and my aim is to return each dog home contented and relaxed enough to snooze the rest of the day away.

Pop ins

For dogs that may not be able to join in an hour long group walk i.e. Puppies, elderly dogs or those recovering from an operation, I offer a pop in service.

Pop ins are half an hour long. During this time I will take your dog out to the toilet and interact with them whether this be playtime, cuddles or perhaps practising basic commands learnt that week at puppy school!. Before I leave I refresh their water bowls and make sure they are comfortable.

Pop ins provide a great platform for your puppy to go on walks in the future with someone they trust.
